Panoply Theatre Collective is a Toronto-based charitable non-profit arts organization that prioritizes creative collaboration and reclaiming the classics through an inclusive lens. Founded by Paige Madsen, Alyssa Pothier, and Sienna Singh in 2018, Panoply initially operated as an ad hoc group for eight years. Then in 2025, Panoply was invited to merge with a company formerly known as Motus O Dance Theatre, and the charity was officially renamed Panoply Theatre Collective, with Panoply’s founding members as its new officers. We are grateful to & inspired by Jack Langenhuizen, James Croker, & Cynthia Croker at Motus O for trusting us with their organization’s next chapter.
Panoply’s body of work includes educational workshops, audio dramas, staged readings, and fully-realized productions. Our actor-led approach prioritizes high-quality performances of both new works and adaptations, challenging audience preconceptions and offering fresh perspectives on beloved stories. Beyond our productions, we actively engage with our community through partnerships with local community centres, libraries, and youth education facilities. We also foster emerging talent through our plays-in-development program, providing a platform for theatre creators to workshop new scripts.
CLASSICS. CREATION. COLLABORATION.
CLASSICS REIMAGINED, NEW WORKS REALIZED.
We seek to write & create original stories from a feminist, inclusive, and modern perspective.
We strive to re-centre classical stories to feature LGBTQ2IA+, people of colour, and people of different abilities.
We use site-specific & non-theatre-house spaces that complement the unique worlds of each play.
