Plays in Development is a workshop series hosted by Panoply.
As playwrights ourselves, we are committed to the development of new work and the support of emerging playwrights. Plays in Development aims to provide dramaturgical support for selected projects, and ultimately produce a staged reading where audience feedback is collected to produce a new draft of the workshopped piece. We believe organizing a team of artists to put new text on its feet can be a transformative opportunity in the playwriting process. Plays are meant to be read aloud!
This project is ongoing - new scripts are chosen every few months. If your script is selected our team will work with you to help set goals for your piece and pair you with cast & crew to workshop the script! Please note: if you have a director you’d like to work with, please include their resume in the email. Playwrights do not need a director to submit to the workshop.
