Free Youth Clown Workshop
Supported by guild festival theatre’s youth engagement scarborough initiative
Sunday June 14th - 3pm-5pm - The Nancy & Ed Jackman Centre (877 Yonge St Unit 201)
Join us for a free afternoon of comedic performance training. Open to youth ages 13-30, enthusiastic about perfomance!
As part of the Guild Festival Theatre’s Youth Engagement Scarborough program, we’re hosting a free theatrical clowning workshop for youth ages 13-30 who are enthusiastic about the performing arts!
Youth participants will explore theatrical clowning, comedy/improv, & Shakespeare basics, and will have the chance to work with professional artists and arts educators from Panoply Theatre Collective. Participants will then also have the opportunity to see a preview excerpt from our upcoming Fringe show, and will have the chance to participate in an open forum Q&A at the end of the session. Light snacks provided.
We hope to open doors for youth to engage with theatrical performance both as potential Toronto Fringe audience members, and as potential future creators themselves. We look forward to connecting young arts enthusiasts with the Toronto Fringe! Open to performers/community members of all levels, ages 13-30.
Register for this free event by June 13th by emailing paige@panoplycollective.com Space is limited, register ASAP. Please let us know about any access needs our team should be aware of.
